Tuesday:
Appointment @ the infusion center for chemotherapy (Bleomycin drug). I suspect the same drug last Tuesday messed me up, gave me that crazy sore throat. Curious to see if I have repeat results or if the sore throat was unrelated.
Friday:
Follow-up with medical oncologist; not my normal one because he’s out this week (d’oh). Hopefully everything continues to go well, so curing me will continue to be as simple as following the NCCN’s recipe to relapsed cancer treatment success. If my blood tests come back bad (unlikely) I expect he’d put the brakes on having my next major cycle of drugs, cycle #2, next week.
Seen a lot of patients at chemotherapy who sit down for their drugs, then are turned away because of blood tests show bad results, such as imparied kidney function, white blood cell count, red blood cell count, and otherwise. I suspect a lot of those same patients aren’t following the directions on hydration or eating. OK OK, I don’t suspect, I keep overhearing it when I’m there, put some real walls in that place instead of curtains for privacy and I’ll be able to stop overhearing others’ blood diagnosis.
Praying for you, man. Odds are on your side, keep pulling..
